October is a magical time. The leaves are turning a lovely autumnal hue, kids are raging war on their neighbours if they don’t hand over their sweets, the blog celebrates its first birthday, and Cardiff Bay goes all German for four days for Oktoberfest (or the Cardiff German Beer Fest if you’re using its proper name).
Between the 9th and 12th of October, Beerfest UK will be bringing its touring festival of beer, ompha bands and DJs, bratwurst and mädchens to the Bay. “This will be our second time in Cardiff at the superb Roald Dahl Plasse,” said Peter Marsh, Beerfest UK’s Marketing and Sales Director, with the last time being in 2012.
“We generally have two to three beers available from pilsner to wheat beers, all brought in from Germany,” he continued, with the beers currently coming from Erdinger Brewery.
The Saturday will act as the festival’s main event featuring live bands including Cardiff’s very own Alpine Stomper Band, as opposed to traditional music being played by their DJ on the other nights, and will be a ticket only night, with tickets costing £12.
