The distance between one of the oldest cities in the US of A, and the country’s largest is a whopping 320 miles, or 515 km for all you metric heads out there. This route, from Boston Harbour to New York City, will play host to this year’s Velindre cycle challenge. The East Coast Bike Challenge, taking place this September, will see an army of cyclists crossing the Atlantic to take part to raise funds for the Velindre Cancer Centre, and Tiny Rebel are leading the way in their fundraising efforts.
In support of Ian Cummings and Rhys Morton, who will be attempting the challenge, the Newport based brewery will be firing up their grills, pouring the pints and opening their doors to the public on Saturday 16th August between 3-12pm.
Tickets cost £20 and include a Tiny Rebel pint glass, a pint of their award winning Fubar (or a large glass of wine, whichever tickles your tastebuds), a plate of BBQ food cooked by Paul Turley of Urban Tap House, as well as a voucher for a Tiny Rebel cask beer at Urban Tap House.
As well as all that to get your mouths around, there will be live music performances and a raffle and all the proceeds of the day will be going directly to Velindre.
Tickets are available in Urban Tap House, from the brewery or from either Ian and Rhys.
