If you fancy chowing down on a mess of craft Celtic crepes, chucking a few bowling balls down an alley at some skittles and washing it all down with a pint, then you’ll be glad to know that tickets are now available for the launch of Craftbowl.
Caerphilly brewery, The Celt Experience, will be opening their bowling lanes for the first time to the public on Saturday 17 May. The event will also double up as a celebration of the brewery’s collaboration with Welsh rockers, Super Furry Animals.
The resulting beer baby, born from the coming together of the band and the brewery, Christened Fuzzy, will be on tap throughout the event which will run between 16:00-22:00 on the Saturday. The wild Welsh Saison is part of the brewery’s ShapeShifter range and will be accompanied by a Super Furry Animals DJ set as well as a performance by Newport rappers Goldie Lookin Chain, who are no strangers to brewing their own beer, making for a pretty sweet occasion.
Tickets are now on sale for £13,50, so head over to www.ticketweb.co.uk or give them a bell on 029 2086 7707 to nab yourself some.
If you can’t make the grand opening however, fear not! “Following the launch party, Craftbowl will be open to the general public, corporate events and private parties,” said Rachel Harris from The Celt Experience. Imagine that for corporate team building… forget your trust exercises involving you catching your work colleague as they fall backwards, if you really want to improve company camaraderie, it’s all about the threesome of good times; beer, bowling and crepes!
