Got Beef are back and their burgers are better than ever.
After successful pop ups last year, Cai Pritchard and his team are back but this time will be serving up burgers out of The Canadian pub.
“We currently have three Fridays booked at The Canadian,” explains Cai, “but we are in talks about other days with a possibility of doing something for the rugby.”
Cai attributes the popularity of pop up events like these to the fact that “they are something fairly new and exciting.” As they aren’t tied down to any venue they have “the chance to pop up all over the city and offer customers something a bit different.”
As well as this week’s pop up on the 17th, they will be held on the 24th and the 31st from 5.30pm until 9.30pm and it’s your chance to feast on some of your favourites from last year, as well as some new delicious additions.
“We have a few new burgers added to the menu,” he explains, but you can also get your hands on old favourites like The Soprano and Bombay. One addition, The Canadian, pays homage to their new temporary home and consists of a six ounce burger patty sat inbetween a brioche bun, topped with house smoked Monterey jack cheese, maple ketchup and cherry smoked streaky bacon.
As well as the new burgers, Cai can’t wait to introduce some of their new sides including the mac and cheese bites, “which have created quite a stir,” he says.
In addition to their run of pop ups, starting this Friday, they will be grilling at their usual festivals and events throughout the summer and he also admits the opportunity of owning their own place is “tempting”, so there’s no need to worry if you can’t get down for one of their Canadian nights.
