Following the success of last year’s event, The Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival, on 26-27 October, is back and bigger than ever.
Starting out as a one day event in 2004, as part of the Cowbridge Charter Trust’s 750 year celebrations, the festival has grown in the years to follow. Now a two day event, it plays host to 80 exhibitors, and attracts over 15,000 visitors. This is a long way away from the first festival featuring half that amount of exhibitors and a more conservative, but still impressive, attendance of 4,000.
The award winning festival will be home to some of Wales’ finest produce and you won’t want to miss out on the likes of:
- Otley Brewery
- Handmade Scotch Eggs Co.
- Black Mountain Smokery
- Gwatkin Cider Co. Ltd.
- Gorno’s Sausages
- Tudor Brewery
With a whole host of brewers and various meats, this year’s festival is set to be the best yet. Festival organiser, Polly Wilson, said, “It’s a long hard slog to create these amazing things,” which makes them all the sweeter, or in our case, all the more meatier. According to Polly, ‘Passion is what sums up Welsh produce,’ and it is this passion which will be showcased throughout the weekend.
